What is God speaking to your heart as you spend time in His Word? This morning, I was in Psalm 18. (I’m working on prepping for teaching in Ps 23 and John 10, so I am looking at all the psalms that David wrote along with studying the historical narratives that went along with them. It’s been so rich!)

🌿And Psalm 18 does not disappoint! From David expressing His love for God and calling the Lord his strength, rock, fortress, deliverer, refuge, shield, horn of his salvation, and stronghold!

🌿To David declaring that God keeps his lamp burning and turns his darkness into light.

🌿From confessing that the Lord is a Rock and the one who arms David with strength.

🌿To providing a broad path for David’s feet so his ankles don’t give way.

…And this is all after Saul was trying to kill David and the Lord delivered him.

If you are feeling the pressure, if things have been hectic, disappointing, crazy, or painful lately, remember that you have a Rock who is a shield and a refuge. His right hand will sustain you and He will turn darkness into light as only He can!

You are loved and cared for by Him! ♥️

The Hebrew word Emmanuel is such an incredible and

The Hebrew word Emmanuel is such an incredible and beautiful word. It means “God with us.” How incredible that we have a God who not only “became flesh and dwelled with us” (John 1:14) as He came to this earth as a baby and grew into a man, but also that He is still with us today and always.

What started as a baby in the manger became the greatest act of love through Jesus’ death on the cross for us. That was always His mission. That was always the plan.

Whatever this season brings you, you have a God who knows you, cares about you, and loves you! We can find hope and peace because He truly is Emmanuel: God with us. ❤️

What a joy it was to be at Mom Weekend at Camp Carl in Ravenna, Ohio last weekend. The Lord was so good and blessed abundantly. We worshipped, fellowshipped, ate delicious food, and learned all about abiding in the vine - in Jesus.

Spent a lovely morning with a group of ladies from New Mercies church sharing about the journey the Lord takes us on and the song He puts on our lips. I love having the opportunity to stop in and teach the last session with various women’s Bible study groups! So blessed by this group’s faith and the community they’ve built together. ❤️
